We had a 4.4 earthquake at 4:04 this morning. It was Jonathan's third earthquake, and he slept peacefully through it. His first was sometime during the year when I took care of him at home, and he was still an infant. Daddy was more scared that time than Jonathan was.
This morning's earthquake was short-lived, and didn't do any damage, except for giving us a shot of adrenaline, which got our minds going about Haiti, Chile, and our own previous experiences with bigger earthquakes. According to the article in the LA times, each earthquake carries a 5 % chance of being a precursor to the "big one." Yikes. That's a crappy reality. And speaking of crap, the earthquake did manage to knock down a bag-o-dirty-diapers from our dresser. Fortunately, the bag held together!
