Time to catch up! Let's flash back a few months to New Year's Day. Jonathan had a fun little adventure to Chambers Bay Playground in University Place. The setting is spectacular: overlooking Chambers Bay Golf Course and the Puget Sound. Breathtaking! To make it even better, the whole playground has a Northwest/Puget Sound theme . . .
Much to Jonathan's liking, the playground also has multiple slides! He and Daddy had so much fun going down each of them.
There were plenty of Puget Sound animals to ride: an orca, a frog, and another whale. I think there is a shark, too. He had so much fun that he was pretty tuckered out by the time he got to the frog (look at that adorable face!) . . .
We also enjoyed walking around the park at sunset and taking in the views. Jonathan got in a good run while Mommy and Gamma tried to keep up. The setting really is beautiful!
The best thing about it? Knowing than in about six weeks we'll be frequenting the park on a regular basis because it will only be about a mile from our house! We have enjoyed our time in Eugene, but we're so excited to be moving "home": back to Washington after an eleven-year adventure in the other two West Coast states! Jonathan is particularly excited about the idea that we'll be so close to Grandma, Gamma, Gampa, Gary, and his Great-Grandmas (oh, and to this park!). :)
