Flashback :: Eugene January Snow

Jonathan's favorite thing about winter? Waking up to any trace of snow on the ground! (Okay, so it's mommy's favorite thing as well. ;)) We only had a dusting this winter (followed by a BIG surprise just yesterday . . . more on that soon!), but it was enough for an early morning of fun together. We watched the sun rise over the houses across the street before getting ready for outdoor fun . . .

Even with just a little bit of snow, our yard is so much prettier! To me, snow makes the world slow down, become silent, and take a deep breath. It beckons us outside to wake to wonder. This dusting was no different, and the crisp air on our cheeks just made it more awakening!

The snow didn't stick around for long (it was gone well before noon), but we made the most of it. Jonathan loves playing tag in the backyard, and the snow just made it more fun! He loves us to chase him, and he loves to race from one end of the yard to the other. He always wins, of course. :)

We really had hoped for more snow this season, but we're thankful for the little bit we received. Thankfully, we had lots of fun in the Washington snow. Stay tuned for more catch-up photos!
