Our First Dinner Guest and Our New Friends

We had our first dinner guest earlier this week and we were all so excited! The table was set, lights just right, windows just closed because of a chill setting in. House was quiet, yummy food on the table, and they arrived just in time!

We had just sat down when we heard his little ribbet. The first time we heard it, it sounded like a little chirp and I thought for sure we had a little bird inside (our door had been open for much of the day), but we couldn't find anything . . . probably because I was looking for the wrong thing! The second time we heard him,  he was quickly found right in front of our fireplace! He was absolutely adorable.

The first week we moved here, we were so excited by our first guest to our home, but he only made it to the front porch.

Little did we know our lives would be filled with these little guys!

When Jonathan's Gamma, Gampa, and Uncle Gary arrived for an overnight visit on Tuesday, they met one of our friends right away! With just one step taken in our backyard, our latest little friend went flying as fast as possible to a safer place. Gamma leapt forward to pick him up and hand him to Uncle Gary, who described him as delicate. I had fun capturing a few photos of our little friend on one of our plants and with much better light. I can't get enough of them! They are so cute!

Jonathan is thrilled about his new friends.

I'm sure we'll see lots more of these little guys in the months to come.  Welcome, our little green friends!
