Spring Break 2010 - Day 13

Jonathan spent the last Saturday afternoon of his 2010 spring break at home with Daddy while Mommy, Gamma, and Gampa snuck off for an afternoon at The Huntington Library & Botanical Gardens down the street in San Marino.

Over the years, The Huntington has become one of my favorite places to go, and undoubtedly one of Gamma's favorite things about us living in Pasadena. It is world-renown, and even named one of the top-ten "things to see before you die" by Yahoo! (and the list was of everything on earth!). There are over 150 acres of the most amazing gardens with plants from all over the world. Entering its gates is like stepping into another time and place. All of your cares and stresses melt away the moment you begin walking through its gardens. We have taken countless pictures during our many visits there (we have had an annual pass for almost the entire time we've lived here). This day, I used Gamma and Gampa's camera, so I don't have any pictures! Boohoo.  Last May, I posted these pictures of Jonathan in the Children's Garden at The Huntington. My, how he's grown in 12 months!

It was a beautiful afternoon, and by the time we got home, Jonathan was rested and ready for an evening of fun. Now it's time to check with Gamma and see if she has any pictures from that evening! :)
