Fall Fun at Smallwood's

Jonathan and mommy spent a wonderful day in Leavenworth with Gamma, Gampa, and Uncle Gary a couple weeks ago. The town was adorable. As usual, we spent more time at Smallwood's in Peshastin (on the outskirts of town) than we did in Leavenworth. Jonathan had a blast! There are way too many cute pictures from the day (pumpkins are so photogenic!), so this is a long, picture-heavy post.

 Cutest ghost I've ever seen!

Jonathan definitely has pumpkin power and loved the pumpkin gun!

What's fall without sunflowers? Gamma took Jonathan over to the big sunflower patch at Smallwood's. She wanted to share her love for the sunshiny flower.

After that, Gamma pulled Jonathan around a big grassy area in an old wagon. He had a blast! There's something about things with wheels . . . he can't seem to get enough of them.

 Let the pumpkin picking begin!

Mommy, there are so many to choose from. How do we pick?

I know . . . I'll go out to the field and pick my own. After all, this thing has wheels and I know how to drive.

After some fun with the pumpkins, Jonathan decided to give the hay bale maze a shot. It looked like so much fun!

. . . but then he got into it and started wondering exactly how he would ever find his way out.

Oh that's right, he's Super Boy! He can make his way out of anything!

Yet another thing to drive! Anything with wheels = happy toddler! He loved how this tractor was just his size (well, he thought it was at least). I had to drag him off of it to get ready to board what he'd been waiting for all afternoon . . .

The Cow Train!

What a fun ride! Think 10 or 12 kids all in their own little "cow" being pulled around windy and bumpy trails all over the property at a fairly quick speed.

I was needlessly worried about how the boy would do in his own cow. He loved it! Held on for dear life through the entire ride, but he wanted to go again as soon as we stopped. And thanks to Gamma and Gampa, mommy got to go along as the only adult on the ride. Fun times. I'm sure the kids loved it. I think anyone over 12 would complain of back and neck pain for a while after getting off. It was so bumpy! Watching Jonathan enjoy the wind and bumps and curves made every jolt worth it.

Jonathan had a blast hanging out with Uncle Gary. He's kinda obsessed with all things that Uncle Gary likes . . . at least if it has wheels and can go fast. :) And he loved spending lots of time with him on our visit.

Our time at Smallwood's seemed to fly by, and our time in town was even faster. The day was a fantastic way to kick off our first fall back in the Northwest. Rest assured . . . we will have more pumpkin pictures before this month is over!
