Getting Better!

Jonathan's fever spiked again last night after the Tylenol wore off. He got his last dose at about 11:00 p.m., and slept through the night after that. Today, his fever has been in the 101-102 range. He got all snuggled up on the couch this morning with his favorite sleepy-time stuffed animals: puppy, bear, bunny, and "mingo," a flamingo puppet. Oh, and he had to have "banket," even though he was hot from his fever. It was movie day, and he was well-prepared. He watched most of Monsters, Inc., but by the end, he was hungry. A waffle, some fresh organic grapes, and shredded cheddar cheese later, he was content.

Within about an hour of eating, his fever broke. He's been up and around since about 12:30, and we're back into the swing of toddler life. He's playing with stuffed animals, tearing pages out of my magazines, grabbing things off of my desk, and walking around with the cordless phone having very energetic conversations. My daddy ears and Toddler Trouble Monitor (TTM) are back on full alert--I just had to run and grab a water glass from him after he'd dragged it off of the table, for example. So much for the low-key day that I thought we were having! Oh well, I'm glad to see him feeling better. He was a miserable sight last night.
