Jonathan went to work with me today to give Daddy a little extra time to get some school work wrapped up. We ended up having a great day. The morning was mellow as he requested and enjoyed some time watching
A Bug's Life on our little portable DVD player. Movie was followed with some play dough sculpting time at Mommy's table while I wrapped up a project. At lunch time, we headed out for an afternoon away from the office with my team and for a ton o' fun with Jonathan's best friend, Joshy (yes, he tells us Joshua is his best bud).
And so the two were on a chase around Heidi's back yard . . . chasing the water and chasing each other.
Joshua decided he wasn't too keen on being sprayed in the face by the sprinkler, so after a few rounds with just the sprinkler, he stayed close to the pool.
Of course, then Jonathan thought it would be fun to bring the sprinkler to Joshy.
And so the summer days of sprinkler running and pool splashing have officially begun. What a great afternoon for the boys to play together and for our team to connect outside of the office . . . very important business right now. :)

Love the photos. Looks like quintessential summer fun! Maddie's in Utah this week and has been loving the downtown outdoor fountains and, of course, daily pool time! The other day she was so cold that her lips were turning blue, but she insisted, "No, Nana, I'm not cold--let's just keep playing!" :-)
