As we build our collections of digital photos over the months and years, we always end up with catch-all folders of "home time" pictures, i.e., pictures of cute, playful, odd, funny, or otherwise picture-worthy moments at (you guessed it) home. I thought I'd share a few of these from this year's "home time" folders for your enjoyment. First, we had some fun with hair product in May.
Not bad, eh? We've seen kids younger than Jonathan all made up like punk rockers at Disneyland, and I have to admit that they were really cute. We secretly want to dress up Jonathan in black jeans, a tiny Metallica t-shirt, wrist bands, temporary tattoos, and a big wallet chain, but he might look a little silly next to his GAP-inspired parents. The kids at DLand usually have alternative-looking parents to match, so I guess we'll be sticking to little polo shirts . . . for now. :)
Mommy helped Jonathan build a cool fort one Saturday afternoon in May. I don't know what it is about confined spaces, but kids seem to love them. I remember getting t.v. and refrigerator boxes when I was a kid, and I had hours of entertainment in confined spaces. Hmm. Not a bad deal for parents! Jonathan is a bit too active to stay in his fort too long, though.
See? He gets giddy pretty quickly when he's playing.
I came out of the kitchen one evening in March, and found Jonathan chilling with Nemo, his milk, and my shoes. Those look like big shoes to fill, physically, not metaphorically! I don't think I'll be pretending to eat his feet when they grow to be that size, though!
Also one evening last March, after we opened up the pots-n-pans cabinet to him, Jonathan tried on some pots for shoes. Apparently, the pots also make nice chairs for tiny bottoms, too!
One Sunday morning this February, I grabbed some pictures of a crazy, pantless toddler playing with my shoes. For a couple of months, he went through a phase of dragging out several pairs of Mommy's and Daddy's shoes whenever he got the chance.
Bowling shoes seem a bit over-dressed for a pajama top and no pants (personally, I might have gone with house slippers), but I trust his judgment.
"Hey?! You lookin' at me?! I may not be wearing pants, but I've got Daddy's shoes! You want a piece o' me?!"
So, there are some of our in-home shenanigans over the past few months. We'll share more home-time or other collections in the future. Hope you enjoyed these!

I was just reading over the Jonathan-isms on the side bar--too funny!
Here are some recent Maddie-isms for ya:
{talking with her about punishments} "Daddy, how about I pick my punishment? I think you should say "no dusting" for my punishment!"
"My leg hurts. It feels too bendy today. I think some chocolate would make it feel better." {that girl's got our genes!}
{while attempting to pee standing up} "How come only BOYS and DOGS pee standing up?"
