Weekend Flashback: Halloween

We've had some pretty fun weekends lately, and there are so many things I want to post from each of them, but I can't move forward until we cover Jonathan's first trick-or-treating experience last month. It was a momentous occasion, and Gamma and Gampa Holman came down to Eugene just to see our favorite Buzz Lightyear with pumpkin pail in hand.

Daddy carried him from house to house all over the neighborhood. At his first house he was given his first treat . . . DOTS (one of mommy's favorites)!

Buzz became quite a pro at ringing doorbells and knocking on doors. He had his moments of fear (mostly over a teenager dressed in a really cool robot costume and a kid dressed like a skeleton), but overall he had a ton of fun.

Our neighborhood was fantastic. We had hundreds of kids on the streets, all walking in big groups. It felt so safe and fun . . . the perfect setting for Jonathan's first trick-or-treating experience.

Gampa was around for the really scary moments.

People here in Eugene love their Ducks!

Buzz didn't do too bad with the loot. He raked it in thanks to his adorable smile.

And of course he got to enjoy some of his well-earned spoils before heading to bed that night.

Earlier in the day, we had some fun decorating our front porch. Thanks to Gampa, Jonathan learned that it's fun to use sidewalk chalk on the house siding!

We also had lots of fun carving pumpkins. Gamma carved one that looked just like the one Jonathan made out of construction paper, and Gampa carved an awesome haunted house.

I'm fairly certain that we had the cutest little Buzz Lightyear around! He's already asking to go trick-or-treating again!
