Today marks a new milestone for our boy. Though only a few inches were traveled, Jonathan crawled for the first time today. He had something in his eyesight that he wanted to reach. He couldn't grab it without moving, so he lifted himself up, looked forward, and crawled. Amazing! What a joy to see him grow so much.
Last week we had his six month check-up. All looks good! He is right on track weight-wise and is still a little longer than average. He wasn't interested in sitting, so our pediatrician said that he may be a little behind in that (Jonathan didn't like that. The very next day he was pulling himself up to sit. So funny!), but then he told us something frightening. He said that the last time he saw a baby with leg strength and stability like Jonathan's, the baby started walking at seven months!! What?! Noooo... not cool. ;) Needless to say, we started babyproofing this last weekend. He is able to stand on his own if we put him next to something to hold. Crazy. Oh! And, our pediatrician was amazed that Jonathan is already up on his hands and knees and that he isn't crawling with his elbows. He said that his form is more like what you'd see in a nine month old. Good boy! ;)
Sadly, this Memorial weekend marked the second time the three of us were sick together. We all have colds, and Jonathan kept us up nearly all night for the last two nights, so it has weakened me. It all started with daddy (shhhh...he'll say otherwise).
We've had such a wonderful few weeks. I'll have to stretch out the updates. For now...celebrate the biggest milestone - our boy is on the move!
