Packing with Jonathan

So, we now have experienced the first hurdle to traveling with our boy... it takes FOREVER to pack! We would have been out of here days ago, but J has been hell bent on not allowing us to pack! He has already had two blow outs (a first for him), and all he wants to do is be held. If he is put down at all, it lasts about two minutes and he starts screaming.

Not only that, but we've packed every single thing imaginable for him. I mean, everything! If we could fit his mattress in the car, we probably would. Ahhh, sure signs of new parents. We're finally loading the car and we're determined to get out of here tonight, even if we only make it north by three hours. At least we will have made progress!

So, out the door we head. Pray for safe travels, and pray mostly for Jonathan to be kind to us. :)

Ahhhh, yes...I've been waiting for this day to come! Welcome to the joys of parenthood! People who don't have kids just can't understand when you tell them it took you 3 hours to get out the door to make it to church. Lucky for you that Mike is home with you, so you can at least take turns holding Jonathan! Oh, have you tried a sling? It was like MAGIC with Maddie...screaming one second, asleep the next...and the parents finally have their hands free again! You've GOT to try it! Love ya--can't wait to see you all on your way back down!
