Santa Visits Eugene

Jonathan was fortunate to visit with Santa twice this year! His first encounter with Santa was here in Eugene. He got all dressed up, thought through what he was going to ask Santa for, and we were ready!

He couldn't help but sneak a peek at Santa as soon as he had a chance! He even asked where Santa's reindeer were! (The "elf" helping Santa told him that they were up on the roof of Macy's.)

While waiting for his turn with the big man, our little man learned all about how NORAD tracks Santa's journey from the North Pole each Christmas Eve. If you haven't heard about it, take a few minutes to check out their site. It's absolutely amazing!

We decided to hold off on a photo with Santa, since he was in his "workshop wear" and not his full red suit, so we have no shots of Jonathan's first meeting with Santa. It was a magical few minutes. Santa listened to everything Jonathan had to say, asked him more questions, and just had an amazing chat with him. The one thing he asked for? A bell from Santa's sleigh. Santa told Jonathan that he'd see what he could do. :)

Jonathan couldn't help walking away with a huge smile and turning around to be able to keep his eye on Santa for as long as possible before we left. I so wish we had at least one picture of the two of them talking because it was such a special visit. But we at least have these pictures to show what joy our boy was filled with when we walked away. He couldn't wait for his next visit with him . . . in Washington on Christmas Eve morning!
